Black women carry the weight of generations — building communities, holding families together, and breaking barriers — often while prioritizing everyone else over their own wellness. The Well Within is a one-day virtual wellness summit designed to put Black women first.


This transformative experience offers expert-led sessions, interactive conversations, and actionable resources focused on mental health, physical wellness, faith, self-care, and legacy-building. Attendees will leave feeling empowered, equipped, and connected, ready to advocate for their own holistic wellness while nurturing their communities.

The Well Within: Wellness Summit Schedule


9:10 AM – 9:50 AM | Keynote Speaker & Kickoff

  • The Woman at the Well | Facilitator: Dawn Johnson
    We’ll begin the day with an empowering keynote from Dawn Johnson, setting the tone for centering Black women’s wellness, legacy, and self-advocacy.


10:00 – 10:40 AM | Breakout Round 1

  • Choose from sessions designed to meet you where you are on your wellness journey. Whether you’re seeking tools for self-care, insights on mental health, or strategies for physical wellness, this round of sessions will give you practical takeaways to nurture your mind, body, and spirit.



10:50 – 11:30 AM | Breakout Round 2

  • A new set of dynamic conversations and workshops led by expert facilitators. This is your chance to dive deeper into topics that resonate most with you—whether that’s navigating faith and wellness, building resilience, or exploring holistic approaches to health.


11:40 AM – 12:20 PM | Breakout Round 3

  • In our final round of breakout sessions, you’ll have another opportunity to select the space that best supports your growth. Each session will provide actionable strategies, resources, and encouragement to help you continue your journey beyond the summit.


12:30 – 1:00 PM | Roundtable – Chat & Chew (Bring Your Lunch)

  • Wellness in Action: From Talk to Transformation | Facilitator: Dr. Tasha Moses
    We’ll close with an open, interactive conversation that brings everyone together. This roundtable is a space to reflect, share insights, ask questions, and connect with like-minded women. Together, we’ll turn knowledge into action and inspiration into transformation.

Meet your host, dr. moses

Dr. Tasha Moses is a compassionate mental health professional and advocate for women’s wellness with over 20 years of experience. As the Founder and CEO of the Women’s Wellness Spa Café (WWSC) in Rock Hill, SC, she provides a supportive and inclusive space where women can focus on their holistic well-being and personal growth.


Dr. Moses specializes in trauma-focused therapy and is licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Delaware. She holds a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Behavioral Health Leadership and advanced certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, complex trauma, and integrative couples therapy. Her expertise includes treating depression, anxiety, grief, and self-esteem challenges.


A wife, mother, and grandmother, Dr. Moses draws from her personal and professional experiences to empower women to embrace their authenticity and create meaningful change in their lives and communities.

Dawn Johnson brings over three decades of expertise in financial services, blending her professional insight with a deep passion for community building. Her leadership has long been rooted in fostering growth—whether through empowering individuals, strengthening civic ties, or addressing financial literacy gaps.


A proud graduate of Florida State University, Dawn earned her degree in Economics with a double minor in African American Studies and Psychology, equipping her with both the analytical skills and cultural awareness that continue to shape her work today.


As the visionary behind Dawn Johnson Empowers, she leads transformative initiatives across three pillars: women’s empowerment, civic and community engagement, and financial empowerment. These efforts reflect her dedication to creating spaces where meaningful conversations lead to tangible change, and where people are inspired to work together for a better future.

Yolanda Claiborne

Yolanda Claiborne is the owner and operator of Prosperity Place, where she is dedicated to enhancing mental health awareness and supporting individuals on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves. Drawing from strategies she has integrated into her own life, Yolanda emphasizes the importance of healing the mind, cultivating self-love, and sustaining self-motivation. She believes true prosperity is achieved through determination, a clear vision, and surrounding yourself with people who positively support your dreams and goals. Through her work, Yolanda continues to inspire others to embrace growth, resilience, and holistic wellness.

Stacey Hope

Stacey Hope is a licensed mental health therapist and the owner of Hope Counseling and Wellness, LLC serving adults in North and South Carolina. She specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression using a holistic, faith-integrated approach that supports healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Stacey provides a warm, compassionate space where clients can rediscover hope and move toward lasting wellness.

Misty Brown Pearson

Misty Brown Pearson is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Integrative Nutritional Health Coach who empowers women and families to reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and create healthier lifestyles. She blends therapy with holistic wellness, showing how nutrition and mindset work together to build resilience, balance, and purpose.

Wakita D. Barksdale, MPA, MA, LPC

Wakita D. Barksdale, MPA, MA, LPC is a licensed professional counselor, community leader, and advocate for holistic wellness. She is passionate about helping women reclaim their identity, rise from their healing, and walk boldly in their purpose. Wakita currently serves as Director of Wellness and Community Health at Clinton College, where she empowers students and the community through mental health advocacy and equity-driven programs. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing is not just personal…it’s generational, and when women rise, families and communities rise with them.

Sommer Sadé

Sommer Sadé, known as “Your Favorite Inspirator” and the “Resilience Guru,” is a dynamic public speaker, thought leader, and advocate who transforms lives with her wisdom, warmth, and authenticity. With over a decade of experience, she empowers diverse communities to uncover purpose, embrace resilience, and thrive despite adversity. Armed with degrees in Psychology, Religious Studies, and a Master of Divinity—while pursuing her MSW—Sommer champions safe, accessible, and affordable housing for those facing chronic homelessness and severe mental illness. Driven by passion, purpose, and faith, she embodies strength, compassion, and service, leaving an indelible mark wherever she speaks, serves, and inspires.

Sacha L. Montgomery

Sacha L. Montgomery is a licensed clinical professional counselor and doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of the Cumberlands. She brings over a decade of clinical and leadership experience across forensic, correctional, and community mental health settings. In addition to her clinical practice, she teaches as Adjunct Faculty of Psychology at Pepperdine University, specializing in substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based interventions. Her professional work is driven by a commitment to trauma-informed care, culturally competent practice, and building integrated systems of support for individuals facing addiction and complex mental health challenges.
